This skill seems to be broken, sometimes when I cast it (i'm a minion master) a minute later some of my minions are attacking other minions and its just like a big battle between minions, i really think this skill should only work on non-mastered minions though

This thread is woefully old and the issue still hasn't been resolved. I am trying to use VA to counter the MM's present in Alliance Battles. Last night, I was standing in the exact center of a horde of hostile minions, all of them adjacent to me. I cast VA and absolutely nothing happened; well, not exactly nothing, I did then have another Enchantment on me making me more vulnerable to Enchantment attacks.

ANET definitely needs to address this issue soon.

Well, presently, Verata's Aura was indirectly nerfed by the scaling minion cap based on Death Magic; Without any Death Magic, the most that can be stolen is two, which can be hard to notice sometimes.

However, I've felt like my Verata's Aura failed to capture any minions within range occasionally as well, so the issue is likely unrelated to that (particulary as the thread timestamp indicates). Unfortunately, I have nothing to contribute but anecdotal evidence, so I haven't tried to submit a report.

I Use this skill on my necro when fighting in aspenwood.
The range is very limited.
recast seems to capture additional minions if they are in range, but the duration will not reset.
range = a bit less than aggro circle,
makes enemy MM mad when you run up and steal all his minions.
